Gameforge goes USA

(16.02.2008, 15:31:03) A Success Story "Made in Germany": Karlsruhe game developer Gameforge to enter the American online games market. More than 40 mio. registered players in 30 countries already make Gameforge the largest independent supplier of online games.

The company initiates the international competition for Northern American online gamers with the launch of a San Francisco branch. Gameforge CEO Klaas Kersting explains: "Already, we are clearly larger than any of our American competitors. Since day one, our company has been growing by more than 350 % a year. By providing servers within the US we can offer even better technical performance to our Northern American players in the future. And there will also be a separate US-English version on offer for all of our Gameforge games."

Lars Koschin will manage the branch office. The co-founder of Gamigo was most recently working as CTO for Curse Inc. in the US. "Gameforge has been holding the number one position in the browser games and MMOGs sector in Europe for several years now. I consider the decision to systematically extend the successful expansion strategy to other continents to be a strategically important step. I look forward to being able to contribute my longstanding experience to Gameforge and to jointly conquer the American market of online games," Koschin declares.
