Massive Update 1.1 Released
(26.07.2007, 13:53:50) Be a Space Pirate, Illuminati, Hero or Janitor in this, the first major update to Venture the Void.
Here's what's new:
1. FreeForm World Packs!
Venture
the Void is an open ended space MMOG that takes place in auto generated
universes called World Packs. And with this update we're supporting a
new kind of World Pack that has you playing purely for high scores and
utter mayhem!
Now you can explore the universe without the burden of having to save it, too!
2. Vastly Improved Online Manual.
Find
yourself overwhelmed by the seemingly endless detail of the universe?
While most of you appreciate the endless variety and depth of gameplay,
a little guidance is never a bad thing. We're adding more and more to
the manual every day. Turning this information into cool new strategies
is your job.
3. Improved World Pack Compression.
Since
the World Packs are 100% auto generated, there isn't too much keeping
us from releasing more of them. But! The previous release was a bit...
piggish... when it came to disk usage. And that WAS one big thing
stopping us. This new version has vastly improved compression, allowing
us to release more packs. So just know: more are in the pipe.
