The Parsec Summer Update is here!

(27.08.2008, 08:25:17) Just in time for the summer we gave Parsec some new Features and much more. And to make sure everybody knows how neat the new premium features are we decided to switch on Free Premium for the whole weekend.

And to make sure everybody knows how neat the new premium features are we decided to switch on Free Premium for the whole weekend.

User Interface:

  • Siege Messages are now also shown in Parsec_English Chat channel.
  • In the Ally Administration Spacestation Tab, the Spacestations now also show in which galaxy they are in.
  • In the fight log when a space station fleet is attacked during the SSS, the log will now also show the station name and the galaxy the station is in.
  • The Ally Profile now also shows the date of the ally creation.
  • A pop up window will inform the gamers, that this attack will lead to being outlawed for 4 hours before he attacks and will give the option to withdraw the command.
  • The Player Profile now also shows a development graphic for XP collecting, Ress collecting and the Highscore placing.
  • The Ally Profile now also shows a development graphic for XP, Space Stations and Highscore placing.
  • When the fleet name is to long it now gets abbreviated with ... in the fleet list window.
  • Indicators in the Highscore lists shows if a player goes up, down or is stagnant. This is a weekly indicator. Meaning that the status always shows the activity from the week before.
  • When sending a mail, the mail window will close again now.
  • When replying to a mail, the original message is now appended.
  • The Equip Station Button in the Space Station Window will now show green if activated and red if not.
  • Ally Space Station Fleets now get automatically numbered though. (Works on all Fleets which will be bought from now on and numbering will not always be in order).
  • Skins! You now have a variety of different coloured Skins to choose from Go to your Player Options Window, click the desired colour, wait for 3 seconds and then F5.
  • In the fleet window all spaceships with the same name will now be numbered through (not necessarily in order though).
  • The space station fleets with the same name will now be numbered through (not necessarily in order though).
  • There is a new Highscore Tab: Space Stations. Shows who has how many space stations. Filtered for all allies, earthbound or roamer allies. If 2 allies have the same amount of space stations, then the allies with the more Highscore points will take the upper spot.
  • You can make your chat smaller and larger with a click (top right corner the black pin). You can adjust the 2 wanted sizes yourself. Click the pin and for each option pull/push bottom right corner of the chat window to your desired size.
  • Link in the Premium Expired Window for easier handling.
Gameplay:

  • More Bexx for players that choose the weaker faction by Sign Up. The weaker faction is always the faction with less Space Stations.
  • In the action queue you can now choose for each mining action which resource should be farmed. In the action queue window you will see which resource is mined for each mining action.
  • New players will get a pop up message (starting after 3 day of playing) telling them that they now have 7 days free premium (macro & comfort package). Premium can be started straight a way or at another time. This pop up will come until they have started their free premium. The current get 7 days straight away after signing up, will be discontinued in favour of the new system.
  • Coordinate System & Navigation points in free space. You can now also fly to a point somewhere in space and are no longer bound to fly only to Spacestations, planets or suns.
  • You can no longer scrap spaceships during the SSS.
  • Escort Quests:
  • Easy - Stays the same, just a little more reward.
  • Veteran - Pirates get aggro and follow you with speed 30.
  • Elite - Pirates get very aggro, follwo you with speed 50 and have an attack bonus of 500%.
  • Bonus Item:
  • You now have a slight chance to find bonus items while farming resources or killing pirates.
  • You can sell bonus items at the space station.
  • Useful items can be used or sold to the space station.
  • The max level is now 80 (raised by 10).
  • A new modular ship: EMP-Carrier.
  • Just like the Rocket-Carrier but fires EMP Missiles. Those will stun the Target for 3 seconds. One can only stun one fleet for max 60 seconds (Times for Aetu Server).
  • One new ready ship: Flare Beacon
  • Minimizes the Effect of EMP‘s and Rockets by 10% per Flare (stackable). And who was watchful in math classes will realize that 10 Flares don‘t minimize the effect by 100% but by 65%
  • The stun is shown in the action window as "break". Premium gamers will be able to use this also as a delay timer starter for actions (1hour - 24hours). Example: Put first a break in the action list from say 3 hours, then click the rest of the actions. Fleet will start in 3 hours to go through the actions in the action list.
  • A new technology: Long-distance Technology
  • The higher the technology is skilled the further your EMP‘s and Rockets will be able to fly. The current reach is shown as Red Ring around your fleet.
  • Spacestations now use a little more ressources than before.
  • Miscellaneous:

    • On the Log in Page is now an extra Button Factions Stats. How are the Earthbound doing against the Roamer or visa versa, well you can see it right in there.
    • Tip of the day - Pop Up Window when coming into the game, showing a randomly selected gameplay tip. Can be turned on/off in the options menu.
    • A player now receives an ingame system mail for the following actions:
    • He has been invited to an ally.
    • He has been kicked from an ally.
    • Ally Admins get a mail when the player accepts or declines an invite.
    • Premium features are about to run out, same as the pop up window.
  • Filter function for the Fightlog. You can now filter the fight to All/Defence/Attack/Pirates, Stations (Ally Admins Only) or Player/ Pirates. So you can combine a defence or attack filter with the 3 options of Stations, Pirates or Players.
  • Mail Colour System (Green==Player Message, Yellow==Ally Message, Red==System Message, Blue=Friend Message) And they all got their own folders now as well.
  • You now can move whole ally fleets to a member of your ally if the member got enough space. The member can also move in one go all the ships in one fleet that belong to the ally back to the ally space station if the Spacestation still is under the fleet/spaceships limit ofc.
  • Additional integrated action list. Now you can choose to have your action list shown either as normal pop up window, or by clicking in front of the fleet name on the +. Click on it again (it will show - when open)and it will disappear again. After clicking it will take a couple of second for the action list to appear/disappear.
  • You now can give members of your Ally a title without them becoming admin. To make a member Admin you need to click the button in front and save it.
  • With the circular icon in the ressource window of a planet you can now do 4 actions with one click: Travel (planet) -> gather ressources -> travel (spacestation) -> sell to spacestation. This action will take up 4 slots in your action list. You need to have the spacestation window open to where you want the roundtrip to end.
  • You can now change faction by resetting your account. Premium point will stay, but ALL the rest will be set to 0 just like when starting fresh. You will only be able to do this one a month. You find the feature in your player profile / options. You can change faction only every 4 weeks.
  • Premium:

    • In the Space Station Window/Galaxy Administration/Ally is now an extra Button for Ally Admins called "Ally Stats" showing: All Space Station Fleets/Ships, all Ally Member Fleets/Ships and loaned Ally Fleets/Ships (Premium Comfort).
    • When you hover the fleet name, you see how many modular & ready ships are in. (Premium Comfort).
    • Also a button in the player profile with own fleet stats. When clicking on it then a new window opens and it shows exactly what you have in which fleet. Ships with are ally loaned ships. (Premium Comfort).
    • Friends List (Premium Macro).
    • Invite Button in Players Profile.
    • Visibility only if accepted.
    • Shows if player is online or not. When not it shows last time on.
    • Shows from what date you are friends with.
    • In your Player Profile is a new Button to organize your friends list.
    • Upon cancelation or removal of a friend, both parties cannot see each other anymore.
    • With @friend you can write a mail to all your friends.
  • In the space station window is now a new tab next to the galaxy administration called fleets templates. Here you can create, manage & delete whole fleet templates. Fleet templates are created out of prior made ship templates. (Premium Macro).
  • Action List Templates: Click like usual you actions. Then record (red button) the list, then save (white square) and name the list and then replay it (white triangle) with any of your fleets. (Premium Macro)!
  • Max Upgrade Module Buying Button. When you know buy a Module you can click of the Max Upgrade Button and you will buy the Module straight away at the highest level (depending on max level of module and depending on Bexx in the account).

    8532 - fast einhundert Jahre nach dem großen Krieg der Galaxien, der fast die völlige Vernichtung des Universums bedeutet hätte. Die Überlebenden sind heimatlose Nomaden, die den Weltraum durchstreifen auf der Suche nach Ressourcen und möglichen Verbündeten. Anarchie herrscht überall, es gibt keine Regierungen oder Polizei mehr und keine Gnade für die Schwachen. Das Leben ist hart und entbehrungsreich. Angesichts dieser Situation hat die Frage nach den Schuldigen des Krieges schon lange an Bedeutung verloren: Sieger oder Besiegte gibt es nicht, nur Verlierer des Krieges.Die Planeten sind immer noch unbewohnbar, geologisch instabil und verseucht von Strahlung, Giften und anderen biologischen Waffen. Man lebt auf Raumschiffen, die in Verbänden von Verbündeten unter dem Kommando eines Captains durch das All streifen. Nahrung wird aus Replikatoren gewonnen und Erze aus den Rohstoffen, die man auf den geschundenen Planeten noch finden kann. Auf einmal werden selbst die Planeten interessant, die vorher als völlig tot galten und die Mühe der Erschließung nicht wert waren.Große Raumstationen wurden vor dem Krieg in den Orbits mancher Planeten errichtet. Dort findet ein reger Handel statt, der satte Gewinne für die Stationen abwirft. Wer die Stationen kontrolliert, kontrolliert den Markt. Die technischen Möglichkeiten, neue Stationen zu errichten, sind durch den Krieg verloren gegangen; man ist froh, wenn man sie leidlich instand halten kann. Die Stationen sind daher hart umkämpft, aber als Einzelkämpfer hat man kaum keine Chance, in diesem Spiel um Macht und Reichtum mitzumischen. Die meisten Captains suchen den Schutz in der Masse und haben sich zu großen Allianzen zusammengeschlossen. Den wenigen Wagemutigen ohne Allianz haben wenigstens noch Außenseiterchancen. Die Situation ist aber nicht nur bedrückend, sondern bietet auch große Chancen für diejenigen, die mutig genug sind, sie zu ergreifen: Jeder kann Allianzen gründen, Mitglieder werben oder Allianzen beitreten. Mit der Übernahme einer Raumstation winken Reichtum und Machtgewinn und mehr als einer hat schon von den Kriegen der Allianzen untereinander profitiert.Raumstationen sind zentrale Anlaufpunkte für nahezu alle Bereiche des Flottenlebens. Hier herrscht reger Verkehr von Handelsschiffen: Erze, Waffen und sogar ganze Schiffe können hier ge- und verkauft werden. In den größten Raumstationen kann man sich sogar neue Allianzen eintragen lassen oder Handelsaufträge für die Station an Land ziehen. Mutige Piloten können sich für den Schutz des neuen, fragilen Friedens anheuern lassen oder sich als Kopfgeldjäger die Kennungen von Piraten geben lassen, die dreist die Ressourcenflotten überfallen oder sogar versuchen, Raumstationen zu plündern. Egal zu welcher Fraktion man angehört, das ist der gemeinsame Feind.Doch während sich aus dem Chaos des Krieges eine neue Gesellschaftsordnung von Raumfahrern entsteht, ist der Traum, die Planeten wieder bewohnbar zu machen, noch nicht vergessen...
