Bigpoint is looking for 100 new employees
(26.05.2008, 08:55:00) With growth rates which other branches can only dream about, the browser-based online games market has been experiencing a boom - like at the company Bigpoint GmbH. The Hamburg company is the leading provider of browser games and one of the most successful producers of online-based games. In order to keep pace with the growth rate, Bigpoint is looking to fill 100 openings in all areas for its headquarters in Hamburg by the end of the year - from development and localization through support, but also in controlling, marketing, and business development.
There are openings for those just starting their career as well as for
management personnel. There is also the possibility of doing an
internship to find out if the future of browser games coincides with
one's own future. Information about the individual openings can be
found at www.bigpoint.net.
"Multiplayer browser games are the fastest growing market segment of
the games industry", says Heiko Hubertz, company founder and Managing
Director of Bigpoint. "Almost once per second we have a new
registration. The demand for top-of-the-line technology "Made in
Germany" is very strong internationally - especially from Asia and the
USA. This success makes us very proud, and we want to continue growing
and expanding with our new employees.."
Gaming 2.0 - Success "Made in Germany"
In Germany, the most active - and most lucrative - browser game market
in the world is growing rapidly. German developments and technologies
in the area of browser and mobile games are setting standards
worldwide, because browser games now have a game and graphic quality
akin to console games. Because of the great technological advantage,
Germany now leads the market ahead of the Asian and American markets.
"As pioneers of massive multiplayer games, we wffer games for everyone
at any time of day. Our concept has proven successful: Gaming 2.0 is
growing by leaps and bounds", adds Hubertz - with some pride.
Browser games provide the chance to play against anyone other gamers at
any time, free of charge, without installation, and from all over the
world. The only time anyone pays anything is if they want to buy
instead of earn additional game features. Since the number of
broad-band Internet connections is projected to grow within the next 2
years, continued growth is expected.
