Guild battles and Pet system in Estiah

(10.09.2008, 18:19:18) Three months after its release, Estiah, a free-to-play browser MMORPG announced the addition of two new major game features: A deep guild management along with a pet system...

Players are now able to not only form an in-game community, but also compete as a guild. Buildings can be constructed with guild members' collective efforts, either to expand the size of the guild or to improve its defenses during wars. Furthermore, items and crafts will become available to purchase by members with enough Guild Honor Points (similar to the classic DKP used as guild currency in most MMORPGs).

The most exciting feature is about GvG sieges, which are all-out, large-scale battles between the members of two opposing guilds. All members will fight in pre-made 4-man squads, so the side with the finest organization and cooperation will eventually emerge victorious. Guilds have their own ladder of rating, separated from the solo player rating.

The pet system of Estiah has received an overhaul as well. Players can adopt any animal as a pet, feed it with special food bought or found in dungeons, and make it race or even fight. It's a great side-game hardly involved in the main character progress, but that still offers great amusement and variety.

Estiah has been constantly evolving since its release, other noticeable added features are a bounty system and the in-game achievement records. More information can be found on their website.
