New thrilling MMOG idea from Northern Germany

(15.02.2008, 12:49:07) The FEtMab-Team entered the last stage of their first MMOG development. Sebastian Lenk, living in Hamburg and Thorben Schröder, living in Bremen were tired of all the "build and extend your village"-, "spaceship fleet management"- or "level up your hero"-games. They wanted to create something new, a game, that wasn't there before.

In Trans 'n Porter the player plays a tough trucker. Driving on the roads he has to be more clever than his competitors delivering the right goods at the right time to the right town while he always has to have a good nose for supply and demand.

"We were bored of playing games which concepts are about the same thing again and again and again. That's why we decided to start something on our own and put the cat among the pigeons", Thorben says. "Not only we've developed a different concept than many other games have, we've decided on using Google Maps as a central element", amends Sebastian. "The player will not be driving through fantasy maps, countries and towns, but instead driving through the real world he knows."

Before the trucks start rolling, there's still some work to do. The FEtMab-Team plans to release the game in May this year.
