(24.04.2010, 11:41:50) InnoGames expands its online game portfolio with the strategy game Dark Age Wars. The browsergame was designed by the Californian game company Pixabit and InnoGames has licensed the game for the European market. They will market and launch the Game additionally in Russia, Turkey, and Israel. InnoGames already published the self developed games Tribal Wars, The West and Grepolis.
ark Age Wars is set in the medieval Europe, a time of knights and castles. By starting the game, the Player gets a plot of land to develop and cultivate with over 30 types of medieval buildings. As the ruler of their own kingdom he has to protect his state against several enemies. The user can strategically take land from other players or rebel units. There is always the question in the process if the user wants to join an alliance and league with other players or if he chances his fortune on his own. The Game is for free, no software installation is needed. It will be playable on www.darkagewars.eu. There are already over 20.000 Users playing the game in an open beta version.
“We think Europe right now is one of the best spots for online games. InnoGames has a lot of experience in the online game business. And we want to use this experience in this partnership to publish Dark Age Wars in Europe”, stated Robert Moran, CEO and Founder of Pixabit, the partnership with InnoGames. In Hamburg, they are also looking forward to the game very much: “Dark Age Wars is an exciting enrichment for our Portfolio. We think that our users will have as much fun with this as with our own games”, states Eike Klindworth, CEO and Founder of InnoGames.
In a first step InnoGames published an English closed beta version today on www.darkagewars.eu. After a successful test the German and other European language versions should follow.
Dark Age Wars spielt im mittelalterlichen Europa zu Zeiten der ersten Kreuzzüge. Der Spieler beginnt mit einem Stück Land, das er mit über 30 verschiedenen Gebäudetypen weiter ausbaut und kultiviert. Als Herrscher über das eigene Königreich muss er sein Land gegen Feinde verteidigen und seinen Einfluss durch geschickte strategische Entscheidungen weiter ausbauen. Dabei stellt sich ihm immer wieder die Frage, ob er sich lieber in Allianzen mit anderen Spielern verbünden oder auf eigenen Wegen sein Glück suchen sollte.
Die Schlacht um das Mittelalter startet jetzt auf Deutsch
(07.07.2010, 13:50:00) InnoGames hat heute (7. Juli) die deutsche Beta-Version von Dark Age Wars veröffentlicht. In der englischen Beta des Browsergames kämpfen bereits 10.000 Spieler um die Vorherrschaft im Mittelalter.
