Homeless World Cup and Dossergame launch donation campaign
(08.09.2010, 22:24:06) Just a dream for most street football players, is now reality for Portuguese born Bébé. Formerly homeless, he is now a shining representation of possibility after signing a contract with Manchester United.
While the world in 2010 looked expectantly to South Africa, Brazil prepares to host the 8th Rio 2010 Homeless World Cup from 19-26 September 2010. 64 national teams of homeless players will be united, including 16 female teams. Past tournaments have shown over 70% of participants positively change their lives.
These achievements seem possible in the fictitious world of the satirical browsergame - Dossergame. Millions of online players enter the role of a homeless person, with the aim to take their character from 'rags to riches'! Bébé showed the same progression in real life, normally only possible in Dossergame. In reality, progression does not come as easy as that found in the game or by Bébé.
Dossergame aims to beat homelessness in cooperation with the Homeless World Cup. A donation has been made and they are undertaking a campaign to invite their million fold gaming community to get involved and donate too. Dossergame and its community is committed to enabling homeless players to participate at the Rio 2010 Homeless World Cup. Every micro-donation is worth the effort. Each homeless player is granted a second opportunity, the chance to enjoy sportsmanship and teamwork and change their lives for ever.
